DPI is a leading Italian company in the field of qualified respiratory protection. It has a long and prestigious history, starting in the 1920s, when Pirelli began developing the first gas masks for the Italian army.

Until the early 1990s, DPI belonged to the Pirelli Prodotti Diversificati Group; later DPI became an independent entity, due to the divestment of a business branch. It retained, however, the historic Sèkur® brand, synonymous with safety, quality and reliability. The experience and knowledge accumulated since then form the foundation on which DPI has built its solid reality.

As of February 2021, DPI became part of the Leonardo Group, following an acquisition made by Larimart S.p.A. This acquisition represented recognition for DPI as excellence in the respiratory protection sector.

DPI, which is ISO 9001 certified, holds a leading position not only in the domestic market, but also represents an important reference point for foreign markets.

Experience and made in Italy

The company boasts MADE IN ITALY production of a wide range of devices, all coming from our factory in Rome: self-contained breathing devices, full-face masks, half-masks, dust filters, gas filters and combined filters, airline, wheeled devices, and escape breathing devices.

In-house R&D and experimental laboratory

Our R&D Center is focused on innovation, quality and design of our solutions, while our in-house experimental laboratory is the place where we can test them under the most extreme conditions; after, we start the production to provide users with the most advanced answers to any respiratory protection needs.

Know-how

We own specialized skills in the CBRN, civil, and industrial sectors thanks to the experience gained with the Pirelli Group and enhanced by the Leonardo Group.
